A week ago Algorand got pushed to a sustained average of 5,151 tx/s over 100 blocks. Today it reached even higher with an average of 5,716 transactions per second, beating its own record by 565 per block.
More importantly, during that time users did not experience any slowdown. No failed transactions, no congestion and no downtime. There wasn’t a difference to be felt, every transaction went through smoothly within 2.93 seconds, with instant finality.
Whatever the price, the future of blockchain technology and its development is bright.
